Ronna McDaniel Wins Again
Many people claimed they didn’t want Ronna McDaniel as the chairwoman for the Republican National Committee. And there were plenty of people running against her, including Harmeet Dhillon, Mike Lindell, and Lee Zeldin.
McDaniel received 111 votes – more than the other three competitors combined.
With so many disappointing elections for Republicans in recent history, including Trump losing the presidency in 2020 and the failure to produce the red wave as anticipated in 2022, many look to McDaniel for answers.
She vows that she’s heard everyone’s concerns. In a few brief remarks to RNC committee members, she explained, “We need all of us. We heard you, grassroots. We know. We heard Harmeet, we heard Mike Lindell. But with us united and all of us going together, the Democrats are going to hear us in 2024 when we take back the White House and the Senate.”
Nebraska Keeps Fighting for a No-Permit Concealed Carry
The people of Nebraska often live very remote lives. Except for Lincoln and Omaha, the state is incredibly rural. With small towns, various farms, and some rolling hills along the countryside, to see that many live a simple life would be putting it mildly. Given potential police response times, and wildlife threats, many people have chosen to arm themselves.
However, Nebraska is one of 26 states that do not currently allow for permitless or “constitutional carry” of handguns. State Senator Tom Brewer (R-Gordon) is yet again pushing for the state to become one of the 24 that allow it. This bill would also prevent cities and counties from choosing to make their own permits. When he defended the bill before the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee on January 24th, over 100 people both for and against the bill turned out.
Put on the table every year since 2017, this time he has 25 cosponsors on the bill. He has also designated it as his priority bill. This combination makes it more likely that the Senate floor will have lawmakers debating over its finest points. With 5/6 of their bordering states- Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wyoming having this in place themselves, it would only make sense to pass this bill.
Trump’s Campaign Has Begun, and Boy is He Angry!
Trump is on the trail again and held a campaign event in New Hampshire and South Carolina on Saturday. He officially kicked off his 2024 White House bid and his platform seemed pretty clear.
“I’ve got two years… I’m more angry now and I’m more committed now than I ever was,” the former president said.
He gave a speech to hundreds of Republican leaders in New Hampshire speaking for 55 minutes. He focused on President Joe Biden, fentanyl, and the chaos at the southern border.
The former president said that Democrats “hate our country” and are allowing a record number of illegal immigrants to cross our border. Trump said that it was time to “wage war” on the drug cartels.
Trump defended the way he handled classified documents at his Florida home and said that the documents were “sealed” and “not laying all over the garage floor.” This was a reference to what was found in Biden’s Delaware home garage.

Has Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Smuggled In Hundreds of Thousands of Illegals?
Alejandro Mayorkas is President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security. It has been reported that he has smuggled over 100,000 illegal immigrants into the United States using a hidden parole system.
Mayorkas has been welcoming at least 20,000 migrants into America each month from this past May to last December, according to the New York Times.
These illegal immigrants are in addition to the 360,000 migrants per year that officials will bring in from Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.
Republicans have filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration for practices like this, so migrants are now rushing to fly into America using this pathway. Hundreds of immigrants landed at the Miami International Airport this week, coming in from Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Haiti. At this point, they can come legally under Biden’s expanded parole program.
