It’s Sunday February 5, and we’re here to deliver real news for you as a conservatist, packed with all of the real facts you need to know about including how DeSantis is battling gas stoves, impeachment papers are served to Mayorkas, and even how the ATF could criminalize military veterans.
Happening in Our Government
DeSantis Burns Left Over Gas Stoves
You gotta love Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the way that he goes toe to toe with the crazy liberal agenda. DeSantis has added a new proposal to his “Framework for Freedom” budget proposal, and it should make folks like Democratic California Governor Newsom burn.
In Florida, thanks to the governor, gas stones will now be tax-free!
“They want to go after the gas stoves,” the Republican governor announced, “and so we’re saying that we want you to be able to buy those free of charge from the state of Florida for taxes.”
As crazy as it sounds gas stoves have recently become one more thing in the ongoing culture wars. On January 9, U.S. Consumer Product Safety commissioner Richard Trumka said that gas stoves were a “hidden hazard.”
Trumka suggested that they should be restricted in American homes. He then shared a tweet assuring the public that he would not be “coming for their gas stoves.”
DeSantis said that the new measure needed to be added to his “Framework for Freedom” proposal because it just needed to be done. “They want your gas stove and we’re not gonna let that happen […] This is ridiculous,” he said.
GOP Congressional Leaders Show Mayorkas the Door with Impeachment
Somebody has finally done it…Republican Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs introduced articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The articles focus on how he has completely mishandled the unprecedented surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border of the United States.
It’s been under Mayorkas’ leadership that officials at the border had the highest month of encounters in the history of the country. There were more than 250,000 migrant encounters.
Biggs was not alone in introducing the articles of impeachment, there were one dozen Republican colleagues by his side.
The focus also centered on the increase of drugs and weapons coming across the southern border. Customs and Border Patrol seized more than 14,000 pounds of fentanyl in the fiscal year 2022 and more than half of that in the first three months of the fiscal year 2023.
“The actions of Secretary Mayorkas have made the border less secure and encouraged aliens to enter the United States illegally, instead of taking actions to maintain operational control of the border. His actions have subverted the will of Congress and the core tenants of the Constitution,” the resolution from Biggs stated.
Military Vets Sue the Biden Administration Over New Rule
Joe Biden and the rest of his administration would rather ban guns than deal with the criminals who are using them. And this involves setting up a new rule that would cause many military veterans to become criminals overnight.
The ATF wants to start cracking down on stabilizing braces being used on firearms. This would mean that pistols are seen more as rifles – and AG Merrick Garland wants to see them regulated under the National Firearms Act.
There’s just one problem – countless veterans are finding it to be a considerable amount of government overreach, and multiple lawsuits are creeping up. One lawsuit even states that federal agencies don’t have the kind of power to create such laws.
Happening in Our Country
You Might Not Need that Application for Amazon
At the end of 2021, Amazon employed approximately 1.6 million people. The company also experienced excessive turnover rates in its warehouses and fulfillment centers across the country.
They predicted that they might run out of individuals to hire in America by the end of next year, according to a leaked document obtained by Vox.
For the short term, they are relying on pay increases to deal with the hiring crisis. Toward the end of 2022, they unveiled nationwide pay increases.
It was predicted by Cathie Wood, the Ark Invest CEO, that Amazon could use more robots than humans by the year 2030.
“Amazon is adding about 1,000 robots a day. If you compare the number of robots Amazon has to the number of employees, it’s about a third. And we believe that by the year 2030 Amazon can have more robots than employees,” Wood said.
